We build engineered segmental retaining walls, and for taller walls, we bring in the geogrid reinforcement and drainage rock the engineering actually calls for. A wall that’s just stacked block with no drainage behind it is the single most common failure we see when we’re asked to fix somebody else’s work.
Retaining walls show up in almost every full backyard transformation we do, tying together patios, turf, and drainage into one cohesive grade. Typical wall projects run from a few thousand dollars for a low garden wall to well into six figures as part of a full hillside build.
